2. Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
Known as the ‘Golden City’, Jaisalmer is a World Heritage Site, and attracts tourists from all over the world because of its rich cultural heritage and its history with Rajputana kingdom. Its most popular monuments are the Jaisalmer Fort, the Gadisar lake (approx. 1km away from the fort), Salim Ji Haveli (known for its distinctive shape), Thar Heritage Museum, Desert National Park among others. Tourists also enjoy camel-back riding, and the best place for that is the Sam Sand Dunes which offers an exciting safari experience.

3. Rishikesh, Uttarakhand
Probably the best camping place in India, Rishikesh is located along the banks of river Ganga and offers a plethora of exciting activities for all you adrenaline junkies. The best activities to do in this beautiful location would be White Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping, Trekking, and Cliff Diving. For the less adventurous ones, you have the option of sitting around bonfires and being served homely meals with a hot cup of chai. Sounds lovely, right?
4. Kasol, Himachal Pradesh
Kasol is a small village in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, and offers several camping sites along the banks of river Parvati. The best things to do here would be to take a stroll along the frothing Parvati, to visit the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara (about 6kms from Kasol) or to visit the villages Malanaand Tosh or maybe even trek to Kheer Ganga. Kasol is an excellent spot for all nature-lovers!
5. Nainital, Uttarakhand
Nainital is one of the best known hill-stations in India, and a camp-lover’s dream! It is located n the foothills of the Himalayas. It offers beautiful lakes and calm landscapes, and visiters can also indulge in fun acivities like Paragliding, Rock Climbing and Trekking. You can also shop at the evergreen Tibetan Market, which is famous among tourists and inhabitants alike. Our personal suggestion would be to check out Jim Corbett National Park for an exciting adventure!
